Georgia Organizations

These are some of my favorite organizations to volunteer for. Some of these are national, but they all have Georgia sections. Visit their websites to learn more about them.

American Red Cross – Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.

1st Choice Bail Bonds – One of the leading bail bonds companies in the state of Georgia. Serving Gwinnett County, 1st Choice is passionate about giving back to the community.

Habitat for Humanity – Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.

The Nature Conservancy –  The Nature Conservancy addresses the most pressing conservation threats at the largest scale.

Atlanta Community Food Bank – Each year, an estimated 755,400 (or 1 in 7) people in metro Atlanta and north Georgia turn to Food Bank partner agencies for food. Clients visit agencies an average of 8 times a year.

Premier Surplus – The Georgia leader in electronic and computer recycling.

Special Olympics Georgia – Special Olympics is the first – and still the only – organization to offer training and competition for people with intellectual disabilities.

Humane Society – The Humane Society of the United States is the nation’s most effective animal protection organization.

Must Ministries – MUST addresses the basic needs of individuals, families and children with facilities in the Cobb and Cherokee counties and programs in numerous other counties. MUST brings people of many faiths together to respond to God’s challenge to minister to others with compassion and love, without judgment of the beliefs, background or circumstances of those who serve or are being served.
