Hands On Georgia AmeriCorps members joined forces for the first ever AmeriCorps Week on projects at several affiliate locations, serving as prime examples of how service can be collaborative.

Hands On Georgia held its second annual affiliate retreat in Milledgeville on the campus of Georgia College and State University.

Upon receiving the Hands On Georgia State Challenge Grant in October 2006 combined with other local funding, Community Connections launched Hands On Northeast Georgia.

In cities and counties across the state, Hands On Georgia affiliates helped hundreds of students from middle school to high school make very good use of their summer vacation by offering service learning camps.
