How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Noah Godfrey visits with a resident at the Roswell Senior
  Center in Atlanta

I was a little apprehensive the weekend before I was to begin Hands On Atlanta Service Camp. I'm always a little hesitant before I do something new. You see, I spent the week before in an awesome rock climbing camp, so my standards were set pretty high. Little did I know that my expectations were about to be blown away. The counselors were awesome, the atmosphere was friendly, and everything was so planned out. Each day there was a new surprise and I would learn something different. Serving others through talk and work always gives you a good feeling, along with all of the fun activities, like swimming and field trips to the Georgia Aquarium and Fernbank. Having fun and doing something good for others like planting, talking with seniors or feeding someone who is hungry, makes you feel as good as them. I had a blast, and I know that all of the kids in my camp had a very fun time too. I strongly recommend summer service camp for every kid my age. I know you will have a blast.
