Presented by Hands On Georgia

On Monday, October 16, in Atlanta, Hands On Georgia will host the Georgia Summit on Volunteerism in partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism, the Georgia Association for Volunteer Administration, Inc. and the Council of Volunteer Administrators of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc.  More than 400 attendees are expected at this year's day-long event.  The Summit will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.

Governor Sonny Perdue will deliver the keynote address and award the 2006 Hands On Georgia State Challenge Grants and the Hands On Georgia Volunteer of the Year Award.

The $50.00 registration fee includes attendance at the keynote address, lunch and participation in workshops.

Volunteer leaders, managers and those interested in learning how to engage volunteers in their community are strongly encouraged to attend.  The workshops will provide information on volunteerism trends as well offer ideas from thought leaders on how to advance and encourage greater community involvement.  Participants will have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of practitioners in the industry.

Registration is filling up quickly, so don't delay.  For more information about the Summit, contact Hands On Georgia via email or call 404.979.2888.
