The Inspiration: 

Ryan Gembala and Garrett Graveson each had separate experiences volunteering with AIDS orphans – one in Brazil and one in Africa. 

The Action:   

Ryan and Garrett co-founded Hearts Everywhere Reaching Out (HERO) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS through enriching programs,  unforgettable experiences and connecting with their community.  HERO’s programs include one on one mentoring and building life skills around the emotional, social, educational and financial challenges that HIV/AIDS causes in the lives of children.
