The Inspiration:

Tony and DaVena Jordan of Savannah recognize that youth – especially teens and pre-teens need a non-traditional outlet and location to express themselves through music, poetry/spoken word and dance as an alternative to gangs, drugs and petty crimes.

The Action:

Formed in 2001, All Walks of Life, Inc, (AWOL)’s mission is to promote and provide self-awareness through the use of poetry, hip-hop and life. This mission is met by providing young people with safe afternoon and evening programs that encourage education, respect, creativity and most of all nonviolence, during the hours when youth are most likely to get into trouble.
